Stephanie Plautz has gotten many awards and accolades in her time working as a professional composer, educator, and musician. Her work to bring modern music compositional and educational techniques to the current world, and elevate music across the world has not gone unrecognized.

Women Composers Festival of Hartford - 2024 Auditor

The Women Composers Festival of Hartford (WCFH) promotes the music of contemporary and historical women composers.  The WCFH had a large, competitive pool of applicants for their reading session of Pierrot Ensemble. As a part of that, the WCFH planned to hold a masterclass where auditors will get to present a composition of their choice in a public masterclass with the festival's Composer-in-Residence, Kirstin Volness. 

ASCAP Plus Awards - 2023 reward

ASCAP is a not-for-profit performing rights organization in the United States. After an independent panel reviewed many applications, Stephanie Plautz was able to receive an ASCAP Plus reward to continue to help create more amazing music!

Northern California Viola Society - 2023 Finalist

The Northern California Viola Society received over 80 submissions from around the world, many composing specifically for this contest.  Stephanie Plautz was one of 6 finalists with her short, unaccompanied work for solo viola named Warming Up. 

Silverling Composition Contest - 2023 3rd Place

With her 2023 orchestral piece The Warmth in Yearning, Stephanie placed 3rd amongst an amazing group of composers from all around the world.  With a great competition with over 5 finalists, all comprising of great works, Stephanie's piece stood out from the crowd. 

With her 2023 Pierrot Ensemble with percussion work, The Tales of a Hero,  Stephanie participated in the San Marcos Artists' Retention and Training Orchestra (SMART) Sessions 4th Annual Composer's Recital. The Recital is on June 8th, 12pm at the San Marcos Public Library, in San Marcos, TX. The recital will feature not only Stephanie's work, but several other wonderful composers in the state of Texas.
